MAGUIRE, JOSEPH JOHNSON MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, AS SPECIAL POLICEMAN IN HIS POSITION AS LEAD NEGOTIATOR WITH THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA SWAT TEAM, TO DO SPECIAL DUTY AS PRESCRIBED HEREIN, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That James V. Maguire be and is hereby appointed as special policeman in the position as Lead Negotiator with the City of Chattanooga SWAT team, subject to certain conditions and restrictions: 1. That said special policeman shall have, possess and exercise every power granted by the statutes of the State of Tennessee or the City of Chattanooga to regular police officers of the City of Chattanooga necessary in the performance of their duties. Such powers and performance of duties by said special policeman are expressly limited to the performance of duties with Joseph Johnson Mental Health Center, as lead negotiator for the City of Chattanooga SWAT team. 2. That said special policeman shall not be considered an employee of the Department of Safety, nor shall he be entitled to any benefits afforded regular police officers of the City, and shall in all respects be considered an employee of the Joseph Johnson Mental Health Center. 0C 3. That such appointment shall expire upon termination of said special policeman's employment at the Joseph Johnson Mental Health Center or the termination of his relationship as lead negotiator for the City of Chattanooga SWAT team.
